Shasta County

With natural resources such as snowcapped mountains, meadows, rivers, lakes, and over 300 days of sunshine a year, Shasta County is an ideal location for filmmakers. The region offers 3,847 square miles of diverse outdoor and small-town locations and includes Burney Falls, Shasta Dam, and the Sundial Bridge. Film Shasta also offers an incentive program where qualifying productions can receive a rebate of up to $25,000.

Southern Kentucky Film Commission is Your Gateway to One of the Biggest Backlots in Kentucky

Our region offers a wide array of location options and opportunities. We are home to one of the most diverse rivers in North America, the longest cave system in the world, the famous Corvette, one of the nation's oldest race car tracks, Civil War battlefields, historic neighborhoods, miles of scenic farmland, large manufacturers, small cottage industries and so much more. It's not surprising that we are one of the fastest growing tourist regions in the state.

But it's our friendliness and southern hospitality that brings people back again and again. As the Southern Kentucky Film Commission, we are here to make the business of film making easier. Whether your next production is a feature film, television series, commercial or music video, our office serves as your liaison with the local communities. We'll help you make connections and find the services and resources needed to make your project a success.

Also offering cutting-edge filming facilities, including a 65,500 sq. ft. exterior water tank, high quality production services and a complete database of certified crew and technicians.
